In India, Mahashivaratri, the spiritual night of Shiva, is traditionally consecrated to Paramashiva (the Supreme Shiva). Shiva's devotees unanimously consider it as being the most sacred night of the year.
The night of Mahashivaratri is the night before the day of the New Moon in February - March (according to the Indian astrological system – the lunar month, PHALGUNA). The yogis welcome this grandiose celebration as an exceptional spiritual opportunity. For this reason, they fast during the entire day and they stay awake for the entire night, meditating intensely using the MANTRAS of SHIVA (LAYA YOGA).
Recently , on 3 of February 2013, in Ananda Hall located at NathaYogacenter House – Concordia, a lecture named STRESS MANAGEMENT took place. It was sustain by Advaitananda Stoian , the coordinator of Natha Yoga School.
It was addressed to all who more or less face the stress factors in their life. The main quality of this lecture, making it both original and more interesting than other lectures of the same topic, was the fact that it was presented from the point of view of a highly experienced trainee in yoga and meditation, namely Advaitananda.

"As the embodied soul passes from childhood to youth and to old age, so, analogically, the soul changes the body and crosses into another." (Bhagavad Gita II, 13)
"There has never been a more beautiful, truer, purer, more moral, more fertile, more consoling and so far more believable faith than the one of perpetual life." (Maurice Maeterlinck - Belgian poet and dramatist)

Love starts within you!
by Arthur Lederer.
Every person has at least one thing that they are passionate about, that they love doing and look forward to. For me, it’s standing on my head. Some people watch movies, others play basketball. I stand on my head. For many years I have been standing on my head every day for a quarter of an hour each day. Just to be clear, this is not some strange hobby – this is an ancient yogic technique called Shirshasana in Sanskrit and today usually referred to as the ‘Head Stand’. Moreover, it is not a hobby – it is a very powerful tool!

From the 26th of December 2012 until 7th of January 2013 Natha Yogacenter organized just like last years, thus becoming a tradition, the silent retreat. The Silent Retreat has two modules: THE AWAKENING OF THE SPIRITUAL HEART and THE REVELATION OF THE SUPREME SELF , ATMAN. The location was this time a new one, called almost prophetically Paradise!.
Paradise, the new center for spiritual events and retreats belonging to Natha Yogacenter, is situated in the south part of Zealand, on the very place of a former agricultural farm, transformed afterwards into a spiritual recovery, introspection and relaxation area.

Celebrating the fact that the Mayans apparently got their calculus wrong, elements from the Danish press are preparing to balance the things by putting an end to their loudly praised deontology. Appointed as the watch dog of our society in its highly important role of providing a voice for the public, the mass media is bound by a code of ethics and is accountable for its actions. However, the human element in this equation gives room for all the possible nuances of subjectivity to enter into the apparent search for truth and personal agendas and ulterior motives often dictate the outcome. The idea of an institution which correctly, ethically and objectively informs the people is utopic to say the least.
In Italy the conspiracy theory is promoted by the authorities themselves!
A few days ago I was preparing my contribution for the International Seminar “The role of spirituality in the modern world”, held in Copenhagen by Soteria International. Suddenly, the phones began to ring simultaneously both mines as the ones of those around me, indicating that something was happening. I was told that Italian police was carrying out a raid in the homes of our fellow yoga instructors from Italy. At first I thought it was a local situation, a legal error amid the rising social tensions. Within minutes, I discovered that the situation is very serious and that we are dealing with an abuse of the Italian authorities, an excess worthy for a better cause.
